Most users will not need to change network settings after initial setup. If your network changes, you can use the wizard option available under Network to automatically reconfigure your network settings.

Advanced users can use this section to manually configure network settings, enable HTTP proxy, enable web server or Windows file sharing, or set up SMB client or VPN options.

SMB client - When adding a password protected smb (cifs) share you can add the login information here to prevent Boxee from asking for credentials each time.

Full network scan for SMB sources - This check box will force a more aggressive scan of your network in order to detect possible shares, to be used in case Boxee doesn't find any share on your network.
